Can someone please help me???  I have ordered a 2003 gmc sierra on Aug. 7th.  I am aware that this truck will not be in by the Sept 3rd $1000 off rebate deadline.  I really need this $1000 rebate or better,, when i call the dealers they say they are usually the last ones to know of rebate changes.  Is there any "sharp cookie" that has heard if gm plans on extending this rebate???   My only argument is  How could they take the $1000 rebate away so soon since there has been no advertisement, no 03 website, no brochures, and lack of dealer selection.   If anyone has had a bug put in there ear i SURELY appreciate it.. Thanks alot.

eww. sounds like you might be out of luck.  I would hope that i take a bit longer than expected, so that GM has time to start another incentive plan.  :)

Listen, my father is a GMC dealer and it seems to be true. They usually find out when the rest of us do. The new rebates / financing rates will have to be out soon as there is only a week left or so on this deal. My question is where are you getting this $1000 rebate thing from? I also think that current rates are only good on 2002's. Below are the rates for 2002's:

I will also stress that if you are a die hard GM person, get a GM MasterCard. I bought a new 2002 Envoy a month ago a got $3000 toward the truck, just like cash. What a deal. So if you always buy GM's it is so worth it. When I talk to my Dad I will try to find out if he has heard anything.

Mcali 17, the $1000 rebate started on August 3rd for the 2003's-- $1000 rebate ends on sept 3rd right along with the 2002 $2500 rebate or/special financing.   There surely can't be alot of people who have used the rebate since the deal only started on Aug 3rd. And runs for only a month.     In conversations with salesmen they say they would imagine that the rebate would carry over at least the same at $1000  Heck there hasn't been anything on the lots to even use the rebate from Aug 3rd to Sept 3rd!  thanks for any info Mcali

We just found out Fri am at the GMC dealership I work for, the $2500 rebate on '02 Sierras has been increased to $3000!  Only problem is we are almost out of '02's.... :)

I'm hearing the same thing regarding the $1000 rebate on '03's as everyone else, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it extended.  If you are able, the 2.9% for 36 months, 3.9% for 48 months or 4.9% for 60 months they are offering in lieu of the rebate, might save you more than $1000 over the term of the loan.

What I've learned is that we generally don't find out the incentives until the 1st or 2nd of the month, as GM changes them almost monthly.  Good Luck!

Diguout i will probably be financing for 2 years only which will make the $1000 rebate worthwile for me ,, i have shopped around for financing and found 4.9% which that,  i can sleep with.  Keep me posted on the latest news if you hear some,,, Thanks again

Hey RapidRide, sorry I took so long to answer. My Dad has been on vacation and his first day back yesterday was like a zoo for him. Being a GM of a GM dealership has its advantages, but man, does he take a beating after he takes time off. Anyway, he looked through all of his most current rates, and as of this morning he doesn't have the rebate or finance rates on the 2003 Sierra's yet. He said he should be getting them any day now as the current offers expire on Sept 3. He said he wouldn't be suprised if they extended them. He did have some rates on other 2003 products. And they ran from Sept 4th to Jan 1st. I check with him in a couple of days, and if he knows, I will let you know. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

mcali17, please post when you know - I'm also interested - hoping they extend the 0% also!  I just read in the paper yesterday (8/26) that GM will release new incentives for the trucks after Sept 3, so unless the dealers get a little heads up, guess I'll have to wait at least one more week.

TIA

I should ask you guys what state are you both in? My father is a dealer in CT so I could always recommend the dealership to you. He actually has financing rates and rebates for certain vehicles for Sept 4th to Jan 1 2003, but just not the Sierras. I will tell him to shoot me an email when they come out, but your own dealers may already know by then.

I'm in Michigan, and I'll probably be looking at a 1/2 ton silverado LS Z71.  I'm mostly hoping they'll extend the 0% to the 2003 trucks.  :)

Mcali i live in Illinois, I could really use the $1000 cash back since i have a hefty downpayment and plan on financing for only 2 years(probably a separate finance company than the dealer) ,,,       lol lol this is getting to be pretty funny    "Mcali could be the bringer of some great news"  lol.

I think I should tell my Dad to talk to the District Zone Managers in MI and IL and tell them I want a commission.
