Rear Bumper With Zone 1.5" Lift?

I just finished up modifying the rear bumper and the winch tube for the spare tire won't line up. I took the winch tube off for now. I was looking at the PA body lift instructions. It says to cut a slot in the cross member. I think that is the only way to do it. Unless I leave the tube off but I think it will get all cruded up if I leave that tube off. Did any of you guys have problems with this?

The PA instructions is the best way to do it.
