Driver Door Speaker Is Not Working

I tried doing a search on here to find if someone else had this problem and I can't seem to find anything (probably not searching right). Anyway, my driver door speaker does not work anymore and I don't know if maybe some wiring is off or if it needs completely replaced. Is that something I can just pop the speaker cover off and check? Sorry, I don't know much about this kind of stuff! Oh, I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 regular cab if that helps.

Yep check for pinched wires going to the speaker as well. The harness could have become unattached, but likely the thing has just quit and you need a replacement. Excellent time to upgrade to some better speakers.

I just replaced the speakers on my 2000 ext cab. On mine, the speaker grill was not removable without pulling the door panel. Pulling the door panel was not very difficult as long as you ID all of the screw locations and remove before prying. See the link below for step by step instructions.
