Will A New Hd Grill Fit?

Doubt it. I think the grille might be interchangeable with older HD trucks though....

 

What I really want to do is put one of the new Sierra HD hoods on my 1500, but keep the All Terrain grille.

The new Sierra HD hoods are a sexy thing to look at.

But I don't believe the grill is interchangeable with 1500's because it is bigger

I thought the same thing until today, when I actually got to look at a 2011 HD truck in person sitting next to my 1500 and a 2010 HD. The grille on the 2011 HD actually DOES look like it might be the same size, or at least damn close in size, to the 1500s. So I have to retract my previous statement -- I'd have to try it to be sure, but eyeballing it things seem promising. Should be interesting to see if they use these same new grilles on the 2011 half tons as well.

 

It also appears that there will be no problems whatsoever bolting up the 2011 HD hoods to other GMT900 Sierras. Shouldn't need any extra parts beyond the hood itself.
