Over Sensor Moisture In Dianostic Modual

Has anyone received recently a recall notice about moisture in the Over sensing and Dianogstic modual retaing moisture??I received a on star notification but couldnt get more info .I appreciated if someone can give me update or what the problem is so i can make appt if neccessary,

There is a recall out involving CERTAIN pickups...

 

Recall deals with moisture, and the SDM (sensing and diagnostic module)

 

The SDM is the **brains** of your airbag system

 

Dealer will remove some foam padding, that covers the SDM

 

Don't mess around with this recall or try to do it yourself

 

Go to your GM dealer; they'll run your VIN and get you taken care of.

I still have to get to the dealer on that one...I called and they said since my truck was plated in Virginia it wouldn't be covered, until I told them it was plated in Michigan for a while and that just confused them and they said talk to the dealer

It does not matter what state its registered in, any GM dealer can do the job.

Note: This is prob. GM campaign #09184.

If your gmt-900 is involved you would of recieved a recall letter

from GM by now. All that is involved is removing a piece of

padding under the carpet under the left front seat. This is over

the top of module.
