Visited the in-laws today and looked up to see my brother-in-law's new pickup.  Everything else got ignored until I could check it out.  Very, very nice dark green, long bed unit with the Allison.  (It's a working truck.)  The new front end styling seems to make the truck appear narrower and taller.  He builds and delivers cannons around the country.  Business must be pretty good given this new ride.

Gillmor Ordnance in Fremont, OH.  His Civil War re-enactment avocation of the last 10-15 years has become a full-time vocation of building historically accurate scale and fullsize cannons.  He's worked with a number of national parks and monuments.  The ROTC at Bowling Green State University fires one of his cannons when the football team scores a touchdown.  He's currently building equipment for and consulting on an upcoming Hollywood movie.  (Go figure, from farmer and township worker to Hollywood!)  

 

The last movie project he worked on was "Gods & Generals", a prequel to "Gettysburg" that covers the battles of 1st Manassas, Anteitam, Fredricksburg, & Chancellorsville.  G&G is scheduled to be in theaters this winter.
