Husky Mud Flaps & Wheel Well Liner

Recommended Posts

Does any body have the Husky Mud Flaps with the factory Wheel Well Liner? I'm getting ready to install the mud flaps and the provided screws look way long and will go into the liner. What did you do? I'm thinking of cutting the screws so they don't go into the liner.

Thanks, AntelopeLTZ

Don't use stews or those flaps. Get the weathertechs and avoid rust. Are they self tapping if so cutting then will require pre drilling holes. Can't believe you are worried about holes in liners when you are putting holes in your steel. Think about it. I have cancer on my 06 that I installed regular flaps on. They are GM with those "special rubber coated" screws.

I already have the flaps, and I like them. I live in CA so I'm not worried about rust. I plan on using silicone on the holes as I put the screws in anyway. I just didn't want the long screws jabing into the liners is all.

I have the huskies and wheel wheel liner too, I used all the mounting equip that came with them. No issues and no concern over rust. Installed just fine. You will need to remove the rear tires for the install of the flaps. You can work the fronts in by turning the wheel. The length of the screws were no problem.
