8.1L TSB for ticking noise

To all you fellow 8.1L engine owners.

Just got back from service dept on ticking noise from engine. Dont know if this has been posted here before cause I just bought this truck 2 weeks ago. BUT! I wondered where this noise was coming from. Service manager remembered a TSB on this from awhile back. Has to do with push-rod replacements. Dont know where on the web you look this up, but is TSB #01-06-01-018, July 2001. If engine build #'rs are between T10104-T10412, then this ticking noise is your pushrods. You need to have them replaced. The engine build #'rs can be found on rocker covers or on oil pan. (It's a sticker that has a bar code on it) mine were barley legible. Mine didnt fall under this tsb, so ticking was found to be the fuel rails. Heard it myself.

Hope this helps someone.
