After blowing through my 2nd set of Dueller AT's, I went with some Destination AT's through several recommendations. I got exactly 20k miles out of each set of duellers and will never ever buy them again. I didn't want them after the factory set but I goto CT every year for xmas and got caught in alot of snow with my semi bald factory deullers and thats all firestone had in stock. I faithfully rotate them and check air pressure, just junk tires.

I gotta say, these destinations so far are incredible. This truck is smoother then its ever been, drives like a caddilac now. You (or atleast I) never accumilate all those little noises in your truck to be caused by tires, but it's unbelievable how quiet and smooth these tires make my truck. I wanted something a tiny bit bigger then stock but nothing that would kill my MPG. These are roughly 1/2 inch taller and wider and I think they filled out the wheel well nice. Here's some shitty cell phone pictures, I really like how the tire looks, more aggressive then the dullers but not overkill. They do honesylu look alot better in person, these pictures suck.

Weird, I have always had good luck with Dueler Revo's. Ah well, some tires just don't work for some people and vehicles. Just how it is. I swear cars and trucks have soul's :-D I am also a pretty big fan of the new Michelin LTX AT2 on the newer Fords, Goodyear Silent Armors, and the newer Wrangler ATS's for "streetable ATs." The Destinations are good too. These tires are all pretty good for grass, dirt roads, MINOR mud (like wet dirt roads), and excellent in snow. For more aggressive AT's, I really like the General Grabber AT2's, BFGs obviously, and Cooper ST/STT's.

I know what you mean about noises and weird things from tires. My old Rubicon had Wrangler MT/R's on it from the factory, and they wore like CRAP. They road like crap, they got HORRIBLE mpg, and whenever I changed tires (I kept buying them for some stupid reason before I switched to AT2's) I noticed a lot of problems seemed to disapear. Shimmy in the steering wheel during turns that felt like bad U-Joints, vibrations, noises, all kinds of weird things that apparently the tires caused. I also noticed less failures of the steering and suspension components when switching to a set of tires that didn't weigh 200 lbs per tire (exaggeration) and wore decent. I think the crazy weight and vibration of the MT/Rs cupping so easily was just tearing everything up.

Let me know how those Firestones do in the snow this season. I can't decide what I want to go with when these General's wear out. Stuck between Coopers, LTX AT2, ATS's, Silent Armor's, or going more aggressive with another set of Grabber AT2.

I sure will let you know. Funny thing you mention the grabber at2's. They also came HIGHLY recommended but NOBODY and i mean NOBODY could get them in stock for me, pretty much everyone told me they were on national backorder. I do have alot of faith in these for our Pittsburgh winters. But I also gotta say, it helps alot having a a good vehicle and G80. This past winter when Pittsburgh got 26" inches, I had about 4 32/nds left of the duellers and they barreled through un-plowed roads like a bulldozer. These silverado's are monsters in the snow, but a new good set of tires I'm sure will help even more!

thats a picture of what I woke up to the day before the superbowl. And to boot, I got plowed in and the snow was almost up to my tailgate handle. I shoveled a path to drivers door, put it in 4x4 high, and slammed the gas. Took about 5 trys but I got out conquered the roads!! haha

Yea, where I live in MD we got the hardest hit of that storm. 39 total I think. The rubicon with the AT2 was a LIFE SAVER. I got married the weekend after the second storm, so between driving for the hospital and doing wedding earons, I was in the storm all winter. I have property an hr and a half away from Pittsburg in WV, so I'm up in those mountain storms all the time. Its nice to know these trucks are good in the snow. I was a little concerned after the 04 2500 CC LB 4x4 chevy I had before the Jeep. I'm a little concerned about the clearance in the front, but we will see how it works out in a few months.

Yea even clearance on my 1500 was sketchy in the 26" of snow. I removed that plastic air thing off the front and have the 2 1/2" level but you can totally feel the front dragging when going through all that snow. I did come on one street that was a hill and I stopped completely and couldn't get going. I had to back 10 feet on level ground and punch it, got right up after that

I like those, especially with the white letters. I'm going to need to upgrade mine before winter I think, if I do keep the truck at the end of the lease next month.
