Hello all,

I have a 2000 gmc sonoma 4.3 misfire on #6. 150k plus

New spider injecter both heads were off and machined. Changed the wires from #4 to #6 same code. Took off the

cap and rotor both look to be good. Erg has been cleaned. Drove for about 50 miles last night at first it was rough idle with slow pick up. After about 25 miles or so truck started running good no misfire and good pick on the highway. This morning the old problem is back. Replace the fuel pump 1 yr ago new cal. conveter 1 1/2 ago. Two days ago it would not start in the morning took the dis. cap and blow dried it still no start then 1/2 hr later started up. Can not find any trace of coolent leak around the intake or head. No coolent in the oil. I am at the end of my trouble shooting knowledge. Everyone

feel free to give any advise you have. Got 120psi on the compression for #6 also

Suggestions...

1. because it would not start one time, I would check the fuel pressure and the fuel pressure regulator. Yes you replaced the fuel pump last year, but these things can fail faster than that ... if you need a new fuel pump again then get an ACDelco or a Delphi brand (much higher reliability than anything else out there)

2. try a good injector cleaner (some guys swear by Seafoam .. get some of that or some other good cleaner and run it through a tank of gas) ... this might cleanup the misfire
