Fan-like Noise Coming From Temp Sensor In Headliner

Recommended Posts

I just got a 2010 SLT and have noticed a whirring, fan-like niose coming from the little round temp sensor located in the headliner on the driver's side door. I read in the manual that its just a temp sensor so not sure why there would be a fan niose coming from it

There's a tiny fan in there that pulls air in to measure it.

It's a common failure...Take it in. You shouldn't be able to hear it.

Unless he has super hearing powers  They'll probably say "it's working normally"

I think there is even a TSB out there that says some noise is normal from it since it is moving air...

That is ANNOYING! It drove me batty until I had mine fixed. It seemed worse in winter for some reason. Take it in you should not be able to hear it.
