Heating/cooling

Tryin to learn how to use ac/heat correctly on 2010 silverado.

I bought it with the upgraded heavy duty cooling package. It has the dual temp control obv. Im a noob to this.

However it cools great and when in use stays cooled at that temp.

Its not the case for the heating, I would put the heat on 80 or so and it would come out hott but only for so long? Then kinda push out air temperature air or so. Id raise the temp and it would get hott again lol..

Is it something to do with auto. Auto isnt on when that happens but when i do use auto i dont understand it either. Auto seems to put the ac button on.. when trying to heat?? and it doesnt come out the front to heat me lol... i dont get it

anyone help me on this... Thanks!

Put it on AUTO and set your temp. The climate control will take care of the rest (like a home furnace). AC light is on since it'll cool if the temp gets above your set temp. Just pick a nice temp (70F for example), and it'll do the job to keep it there.

My guess is when you take it off auto, set it to "80", it'll heat until the cabin gets to "80" and stops until it drops. If you turned up the fan, then it would circulate the air more, causing it to heat again.

ok that makes a lil sense, more like climate control

but the only thing is when i set a temp and put it on auto.. it starts heating/cooling from the floor vents not the front vents

I think that may depend on the temperatures. Mine heats from the bottom more, and cools from the top.
