Buckets For My 82. Is It Doable?

I know for custom seats it is from what i've seen, but what are the chances of finding some buckets/center console that will bolt right in?

Your best source of parts to start with would probably be a Blazer or a Suburban.

i got buckets from an 86 surburban back legs had to be bent up because of the rear foot well in the surburban and front inside corners has 2 hockey pucks with a long bolt

just drilled holes for the consol also used the burban seat belts looks factory

not much chance of having all the mounting tabs in exactly the right spot to mount the seats from a newer truck/car

One of the things I did in addapting a newer seat to my older truck (not the GM though) was to use the the factory seat rails and sliders and fabbed up the mounting for the seat frame to them. Allows a newer seat with the old factory brackets.

finding bucket from a burban is going to be the easiest conversion there are no mounting locations on these trucks for mounting bucket seats in the front inside corners. these trucks only come with bench seats good luck
