What Is The Factory Backspace?

I want to get Black Rock 997's and I need to know the factory backspace. I am also trying to get the rear tires to stick out even w/ the front. I'm thinking if I lose 1/2" backspace in the rear, it should work.

The style is similar to the ones on your truck. Size is 17x8. I would post a pic, but it's telling me uploads disabled.

17x7.5= +31mm offset(5.5" bs)

I would keep the bs the same at all four corners for rotation purposes, and if you really want to push the rears out then get some wheel spacers for the rear.

I thought about spacers but all I've heard is they're bad on your bearings. Maybe I'm slow but go I don't see a diff between spacers and a wheel w/ less bs. If I do go w/ spacers, I'm thinking 1/4" or 1/2" on each side shouldn't hurt too bad, right?

Smaller wheel spacers are generally okay, and alot of people run them without issue. With that said I understand your concerns. As far as the differnce between a wheel spacer and bs goes, the wheel spacer will mount to the rear hub and therefore act as the new mounting surface for the rear wheels. That way, when you rotate your tires the track width will stay roughly the same at all four corners, due to all four wheels having the same backspacing. If you buy two wheels with less backspacing for the rear, when you rotate those wheels up front it will completely defeat the purpose of what you're wanting to do. At this point you would have two wheels with say 4.5" bs up front and the two with 5" bs in the rear...or on different corners.
