100k Powertrain Warranty Transfer?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am the 2nd owner of my 07. I am just over the 3/36 warranty. Does the 100K transfer automatically? I need to go the dealership for some noise I have in the rear end. I just want to make sure there are no surprises.

thanks

It is, but will it cover rear end noise?

On our Impala, the 5/100,000 wouldn't cover a power steering pump. The guy told me 'only internally lubricated parts.'

yes, it will cover it. it covers anything in the drivetrain, which goes from the motor to the axles.

a power steering pump is an accessory to the motor and not part of the drivetrain. Same goes for the alternator, a/c, etc.

a friend just took his new to him 2007 Tahoe in for a bad front wheel bearing and CV shaft, covered under the powertrain warranty.
