08 Silverado Ipod Intergration Works Great

I just installed an iSimple Gateway iPod intergration kit in my truck and couldn't be happier. This thing is awsome. I can control my IPod from my steering wheel controls and the song info displays on the factory head unit. I ran my iPod dock cable to my lower glove compartment so all I had to do was plug it in and close the glove compartment. NO WIRES. woohoo. Sound quality is great and the kit took about 45 min. to install. You can find them on PAC Audios web site. Sorry no pics, camera battery was dead. lol.

I had one in my 09 - here's a warning: apparently on trucks with factory bluetooth and with modules that have the update chip for OS4 the steering wheel buttons that control the track and/ or radio station presets do NOT work... it worked well before the upgrade but not after.

 

my solution was the GM PAL (Personal Audio Link), I also had to add an extension cable that converts the charge rate down to 5v to keep my iPhone4 charged.
