2011 6.2l Exhaust?

Not to beat a dead horse but has anyone actually tried to put on a Corsa exhaust on a 2011' 6.2? They don't have the 2011 listed ut do have the 2010 listed didn't think they would be different. I was going to order it but I looked under my truck and at there install instructions and it seems that the flange on the head pipe is different. They show a 2 bolt donut flange where my truck has a a round clamp. Pic below. Also is the stock exhaust stainless or aluminized ? So far looks like I'll have to get something custom.

Yea that looks like the hook up. I wonder what size the connection is. If it was the same size as my truck I would open up a lot more exhaust choices.

Well, the pipe back to the muffler is 3" with a flare on the cat end. It "might" mate up with yours, but don't take me for an expert. Just remember, a good muffler shop is something to be respected.

Jon,

Call CORSA to double check,But I think you'll be OK with the '09-'10 system,The '07-'08 systems used the 2-bolt flange hook-up at the header pipe,Then in '09 GM changed it to the round clamp style like you have,The picture CORSA shows is just a "generic" picture I'm sure.

Give them a call and check,Trust me....You will not be disappointed,I've had them on my last three trucks,Top quality systems for sure!

I just couldn't bring My self to pay that much for the corsa. I do know you get what you pay for but I just bought a aero turbine 3535xl muffler. So i will install that into the system and remove the resonator and hope for the best. I think a few other have done it on here. They had a sound clip on there site and I like the way it sounded. And with the left over $ I can get the truck dyno tuned :) I will post my results when I get it completed. Anyone with that set up or any other feelings or info feel free to chime in.

Yes,CORSA systems are not cheap,I figured you already knew that.

You don't need a dyno tune,Get ahold of Justin at Black Bear for one of his tunes, trust me on that too...you won't be sorry! :)

Quite a few guys on here have just cut the resonator off and actually left the stock muffler in place,we just had a fellow forum member at the tune meet this past weekend that cut his resonator off and left the stock muffler in place....It sounded damn good when he was leaving, plus the Black Bear tune helped also!!

Yea I would have came to that tuning session if I had the parts come in for my truck sooner. It would have been nice pick the truck up on tues and have it tuned by sat. :)

Well plan on coming to the meet in the Spring and getting it tuned!!
