Just wanted to say HI from Virginia! Looks like you guys have a great site. I look forward to reading more posts and getting more involved. I currently own two stock Chevy 4x4s and one slightly modified GMC Z71.

Well, the two Chevys are a 97 Tahoe (went to a 265 tire) and an 89 pickup (also went to a 265 tire, headers, open exhaust, & TB changes). The Tahoe is the family ride and the 89 is the work/hunt ride. I also have a 98 GMC that is currently undergoing some changes. So fare a 4 inch Tuff Country lift, 315/75/16s on AM wheels. The GMC was ordered with a 2500 package so I guess you could call it a 1500HD. Not sure of all that is different w/ the 2500 pkg. The only things I see are one more rear spring and a 14-bolt rear. The stock version was a somewhat bumpy ride. The lift and tires smoothed out the ride some, not much!

I hope to get going on some power enhancements on the GMC. Man, with the 35's it sure could use some.

I gotta agree there!  I would guess around $40-$50 per hp.

Welcome to the forum.  A gear change would be extremely helpful on the truck with the 35s to bring back power, but it is expensive.
