Leeling Kit Decisions

I'm going to put on a leveling kit and I am looking at the Rough Country 2 inch or the Zone kit that is talked about on here. I think this one comes with the rear blocks. I tow some so i definitely want the rear blocks. The local off road shop has the ready lift but it was more expensive. How much should a shop charge me to install the front and the rear blocks if I buy the kit and take to them? Also, I'm gonna stay with the 275 55 20 stock tire size. Will this look goofy?

Won't look stupid, and the front takes no more than 40 minutes, and the rears even less., so I can't imagine that much.

It will not look goofy at all. It all depends on your preferences. If you like your truck to have a slight "rake', which is the rear being higher than the front, set it up that way. The factory ex-cab 4x4 truck has ~ 2.5" of rake.

I installed the CCM 2.5" leveling kit on my 2009 Sierra ex-cab 4x4 and it leveled it perfectly. IF you were to install the 2.5" leveling kit on the front, AND put 1" blocks on the rear, you would have a rake of 1" (rear being higher).

Like I said it is all personal preference.... :uhoh:

Regarding install price, it shouldn't be much, I would guesstimate no more than $130 total labor for the front leveling and the rear blocks installed. It took me ~ 1.5 hours to install the leveling kit on my truck in my basement by myself. I am not a mechanic, but can handle basic stuff. A lot of the time I have the logic of "If you want something done right, do it yourself!", but sometimes that can get a little hairy.

I hope my 2 cents worth helps.....
