Quick Question About The Shift Bracket On A Gmt900

Truck is an 07 GMT900 CC with the 4-spd transmission. Currently trying to change the fluid and filter. The pan is getting hung up on the shift braket.

What is the exact size and type of socket I need to get it off or loosen it?

I have tried an allen head and a torx bit but none will fit. One almost fit but it started to strip the bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Half the fluid is already drained. I did a search but found nothing on the type of bolt.

Thanks.

I can't help with the bolt type or size, but I have read on here where most people just bend it over slightly so the pan will clear and then just bend it back when done.

That's what I do.

It's definately a torx bolt, T-35 or 40 I think but they are usually so frozen in they will strip or break your bit so I just bend them out of the way and save myself a half hour and a headache.
