Blue Tooth Microphone

I am hoping someone can give me some help here. I have had my truck for around 7 months now and am loving it. 2005 Sierra SLE. I noticed when I bought it that it has the microphone for blue tooth and on star but it does not have on star. What I am wondering is if it is possible to get the blue tooth hooked up without getting on star installed. I thought that if the mic is there that maybe it could be a relatively easy set up to get the blue tooth to work but I am not sure. Thanks for your time in advance.

Where is the mic you are talking about? It's not the grill above your head if that's what you are thinking. I doubt they would have a mic in a truck that does not have BT or OS to begin with. The hole might be there but no mic behind it.

That is what I was thinking. So thanks I must not have one. What is the grill above my head?

that's supposed to be a temp sensor with a little fan for the automatic climate control function.

Yes it's the sensor for the auto temp control. The fan pulls in the air for the sensor to read.
