2010 2500hd Throttle Body Problems?

Hey guys, my company bought a new 2010 HD about 3 months ago and its starting to have some problems. It all started he said when he was driving through a bank parking lot and he started to slide enough to make the traction control to come on. After that when he pulled onto the road he said he couldnt go over 15-20 miles an hour until he pulled off the side of the road and restarted the truck. But it done him this way again enough for him to take it to the dealer. Dealer said that the throttle body is bad. Does this sound right? Now the throttle is nowhere to be found until mid january. And it looks like more than one dealer has these on Backorder. Is this a problem with the 6.0 engine?

It's certainly not common. This is the first I've read of it.

 

BBK makes some nice 80mm throttle bodies... you might not have as much issue finding one of those. Also what about a salvage yard for a wrecked one?
