Front Bumper Corner Removal 2007 Nbs

Hello and greetings to all....newbe here in Florida with a question about removal of the front bumper corners. Due to damage sustained in a parking lot I now have a scraped up drivers side bumper corner. The scratches are down into the plastic and are too deep to be buffed out. I am wanting to replace the corners with chrome vs. the painted. I have found several diagrams showing 9 bolts/clips holding the bumper corner in place. My question is if I remove the 9 bolts can the corner then be removed or is there additional parts of the front bumper that need to come off as well? Looks like a pretty easy job as long as I don't have to get into removing lots of other body parts from the front bumper area.Any input would be appreciated. One last bit of info that I neglected to add...this is a 07 Silverado new body style.

to avoid confusion, we use the factory designation gmt-900.

i just took my entire bumper apart to get the chrome powder coated to black. theres a thousand bolts. there are only a few bolts that hold the corner itself on then push in style clips as well, 3 if i remember correctly in the top and two where it meets the middle of the bumper which where a little more difficult to pry off. It will be easier if you just take the whole bumper off. im not sure about chroming the corners however.

oh and where did you find these diagrams? they would have been useful when i took it apart and then put it back together!

Thanks for the reply and sorry about the factory designation mistake. I located the diagram doing a search on google. I don't recall which forum I found them but someone had posted several GM tech diagrams of the front bumper and various components.

All the diagrams, pics, and part numbers you need.

Those gmt-900 bumpers have plenty of parts, pieces and nutz and bolts just to get to the corner "wings"!

I wanted to replace my chrome corners with body color.
