2005 Chevrolet Silverado Transmission

Hello,

 

I have 2005 Chevrolet silverado 1500 4x4 with a 5.3L. I was driving it last week and all of the sudden it would not shift out of 2nd gear. In other words from a stop light it shifts from 1st to 2nd normally but when it needs to shift into third it will not, thus it will not go into overdrive. Is the trans shot, as most of the locals have told me, or could it be a solenid? Any help would be appreciated.

 

P.S. there are no codes or check engine lights

your 3-4 clutch is done,

 

get it rebuilt or have the general put in a SRTA (service replacement transmission assy)

 

it comes with a 3 yr warranty,also the cooler Will be flushed and flow thru the cooler Will be recorded on the work order

 

no brainer, i put 1 in my truck before i left the general ( for the discount of course lol)
