I just got a 2007 Silverado 1500, (new body stye) Crewcab, 4x4, LTZ with the Z71 package and need some help, please. I have the 18 x 8 wheels they put on the with the LTZ option. Can I put 17 x 9 wheel on this truck and clear the brake calibers? I'm looking for a wheel like the Ion Alloy Style 174, black with a beadlock that has the correct back spacing to fit 33 x 12.5R17 or 285/70R17 in a DC F-C II. I'm looking for wheel that will keep the tires under the fenders as much as possible and keep the size of the lift down. Thank you very much,

Yes 17s are the smallest wheels you can fit on the GMT900s.

The wheels come in 0 offset and +25 offset. Get the +25 offset to keep the tires from sticking out of the fenders and to keep from rubbing.

You will need a leveling kit to clear the 285s too.

Thank you very much, does anybody make a good 3" suspension lift other than RC?

Nope your options are:

1. Leveling Kit (2-2.5")

2. Drop Bracket Suspension Lift (4-7")

3. Body Lift (1.5-3")
