3 Inch Body Lift

I just measured my Shark fin to the Garage door and I have 5 inches of clearace. I am thinkning I would like a 3 inch body lift but I don't know anything about them.

 

What brands do you recommend?

Any kits that have bumper relocation brackets and gap gaurds included?

Another thread makes it pretty clear that you can't go wrong with it.

How do it yourself friendly is it? I can't weld.

 

My truck has a RC level Kit and 285/70/17 on stocks. I'm thinking that is as big of tire that i want but maybe a wheel whith a little wider offset.

 

Anyone have pictures of a leveled 3 inch body lift on 33ish tires?

Zone Body Lift comes with bumper relocation brackets but not gap guards. Gap guards are pretty easy to make though according to some other posts.

 

There are several trucks on here with 3" body lifts.

Check out this thread there are some pics inside...just ignore the guy who thinks body lifts are crap

BL JRLZ71 has the same set up you're talking about. 3" BL 2" Level and same size tires his pics are about middle ways down on the 1st page of the thread.

i got a performance accessories 3" body lift kit for my truck. came with everything but the gap guards and i havent had any problems with it. ive had it on for a few years now and i want to say close to 50,000 miles.

 

i remember someone saying something about the zone kit to watch out for, but i cant remember what it was, maybe someone else with experience with the kit will chime in.

The Zone has an ignorant way of relocating the spare tire release. They want you to cut a new hole back there but it doesn't have to be done that way. You can use the PA's method and be good to go.
