7.4l Hot Start

Hello Group

I got a 96 Chev 3500 CC DRW over the summer and had the fuel pump replaced when I heard it whine from the previous owner. I just occassionally drive the truck and it starts and drives fine but I noticed in the summer time if I stopped it and let it sit awhile it took a long time to start. I normally turn the key 3/4 and let the fuel pump prime the system but that doesn't matter after it sits awhile. If it doesn't sit awhile it stills starts right up like it does when its cold. I have read somewhere that the 7.4 suffers some fuel injection gremlins and if I can recall I thought they said that the fuel pressure regulator goes out and has symptons like these. Any ideas?

Thanks

Joe
