Wet Carpet

So one day my truck stinks like dead fish on the inside.  I swear my wife spilled fish juice on the floorboard!  But she denies it.

 

2 mos later...same thing.   On the third stinkout I checked the carpets very carefully. Low & behold...driver side at the rocker panel is SOAKING wet.  Alas!  My truck leaks...  So I garden hose it to death and cannot find the leak. Take it to the dealer and VIOLA!  He pulls the drivers side door panel and with MASKING tape (not duct tape you Red Green fans) he re-secures the plastic moisture barrier inside the door.

 

Says that it's a common thing for it to come unstuck and allow the water that runs down the window & into the door to get inside the vehicle.

 

Go Figure!
