Truck Bed Repaint

Back in the fall of '08 I was in an accident which caused me to have my truck bed replaced. I took my truck to Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas to get it repaired. Earlier this year, I noticed some of the paint beginning to chip around the edge of the wheel well only on the passenger side and have been planning on taking it back to the dealership (I am also having issues with the door lock on my driver's side front door). Last week, I had a Line-X bed liner installed (which looks awesome, BTW). When I picked up my truck, the Line-x guy pointed out that some of the paint had chipped off when they removed the tape around the edge of the bed liner. He asked if I had any body work done on this truck and said that this typically happens on a bad paint job. I have already contacted Friendly and they don't have records of my repair and kindly offered to give me an estimate  . After I pitched a minor fit, they told me to get a copy of the estimate and come in to talk about it.

Now to my question, am I approaching this correctly? If I remember right, Friendly warranties the repair for as long as I have own vehicle. Any suggestions for dealing with the dealership. Anybody have any experience with this dealership's body shop in Dallas?

Thanks,

I think it's pretty cut and dry. If you have the paper work to back it up and it's in warranty, You'll be fine.

Body shops at dealers suck, I've been to 2 seperate ones, bad results from both, sure they fix the problems when you take it back, but why should you have to take it back?

did you or insurance pay for it?

if insurance paid for it, they should have a copy of the estimate along with any applicable warranties that may have applied.

The other guy's insurance paid for the damage. I have a copy of the estimate.
