2011 A/c Question

Ok, so in my '11 Sierra, auto hvac system. I've tried in every mode, yet the snowflake a/c button always just flashes twice, then back off. Found out the recirc will only work in certain modes. Does the a/c only work above an certain outside temp? Picked up the truck 3 weeks ago, and hasn't gotten above 35 since.

Recirc has almost always NOT been available in heater mode (or any mode that includes heater) in the automatic systems. Logic as explained to me is that you want 'dryer' outside air when it's cold outside so that the snow that's melted on the floor doesn't evaporate, making warm, moist air that will then condense on the windows.

AC shuts off below a certain outside temp (or system pressure in the older units) because otherwise, parts of the system will freeze, or the refridgerent won't evaporate and will kill the compressor.
