Navigation Dvd Changes

Has anyone seen the changes between the version 4.0c vs 6.0c Navigation DVD's? (besides just updated maps and points of interest)

I know from 2.0 to 4.0 they made quite a few upgrades in functionality.

Thanks for your help,

i'm going to throw out my $0.02 on this..

my 2010 came with 5.0c, the dealer gave me 6.0c because it came out the week I purchased the truck, and I have a great relationship with my dealer.

6.0c seems to have a few software glitches in it. with 6.0c my Nav was having a horrible time locking in a GPS signal, several times it reset me to Washington DC during route guidance. When I put 5.0c back into unit the problems went away..

the main differences seems to be the addition of POI's and Streets in specific areas, being that I am in Los Angeles not a whole lot changes here, so I haven't really seen a difference other than the software issues between the two.

I can tell you from the point of view of having owned several Alpine Units and having had 3 vehicles with OEM Navigation units, updates are done yearly, typically I have found no advantage for yearly updates, but going more than 3 years seems to justify an update because a lot of the POI's changes, businesses close, banks, atm's, gas stations etc).. I have found it annoying when a restaurant or ATM isn't in my GPS but I know it's been around for awhile.. or worse it's in the GPS and when I get there it is no longer in business, that type of thing..
