Do I Have To Get 17 Inch Or Bigger Rims...?

I'm going to be getting me a 6 inch suspension lift in the summer, so bear with me because im trying to get all my facts together.

I'm looking at the 6 inch non torsion drop lift for my 2001 Z71. And it says that i have to get 17 inch or larger rims? Why is this? Can i just get wheel spacers?

If i have to get bigger rims, is it better to go with 17's or 18's?

Also, will i be able to crank my t-bars with the NTD lift?

You can use factory 17 with a wheel spacer but the knuckles stick out too far for the 16. if you do put aftermarket keys with the lift you will have to check you cv shafts and make sure the angles are not too steep.

Gotcha, i'll just re use my ready lift keys as they can't be over cranked.

So there is no way around it, imma have to get 17's or bigger?

I'm gonna be a broke ass sunnuva bitch by the time this is done.

On a side note, are 35's easier to get for a 17 inch rim or an 18 inch rim?

17 for sure add about $50 a tire more for 18

Easily $50 a tire. My 265/17's were nearly $100 more than a 265/16 when I bought them three years ago.

Ok,thanks!

Is there a lift kit that allows me to run my 16 inch rims with either a 33 or a 35 inch tire?

My truck has a Full Traction 6" kit on it and I have no problem running 16" rims.
