lowering kit suggestions

I have a 2003 gmc sierra 1500 that i want to give a moderate 2/4drop (thinking djm)  However i want to haul an open trailer and my drag car occasionally    I want to run a helper bag to maintain load capacity (airlift??)  I have been told i cannot run a helper bag with a djm shackle style rear drop????  what do djm  drop owners do that occasionally haul???   What do we haul in our trucks these days,, dvd's???   I feel this is alot of work for such a pansy a$$ drop    Any suggestions,,, please help.      Thanks

who's telling ya that ya can't run the helpers with djm?  thats the first that i've ever heard of it.

I have heard that when shackles and hangers for the drop that there is not enough room between the leaf springs and the frame for the helper bag????

I've seen people put alot larger drops on there trucks and still have helper springs, a larger drop is one reason people use helper springs, also the spring is beside the frame not under it.

 

You can also get some air bags to go with the factory springs so you can adjust the pressure to eliminate sagg when loaded.
