Repair Service Company Might Have Put Wrong Oil In Duramax.

Ya I had my 05 SilveradoHD in for inspection, and had them change the oil while it was in. I got lazy and forgot to check to make sure it was full right away. Then my truck quit the other day and wouldn't refire. When I checked the oil it was not measuring. I had to have it towed to a different place, and it turned out it was about 3 quarts low, just about the difference between a 8quart Gas job, and a 10 liter 6.6 Diesel. I called the place pissed of course and asked them if they also screwed up and put the wrong oil in. Of course they said they had no record of what they put in it. ratF#$ks.

 

Anyway I was just wonder how much damage could be done running it about 3 quarts low with the 6 liter oil in it if they in fact did? Oh i drove it about 300 miles before the sensor shut it down.
