Aux Lights

I finally got around to installing my piaa driving lights on my bull bar. But my question is my 2000 silverado has reverse polarity high beams and I want to wire the trigger wire so they come on and off with the highs. Any ideas.

Thanks

I don't know what you're talking about when you say "reverse polarity" as halogen headlights are not polarity selective, so that's beside the point, but you'll have to get a relay and hook the ground wire from the high beam to the ground activator on the relay. 99-02 lights are ground controlled and hot at any time the headlight switch is on.

Well I know nothing about "reverse polarity" when I bought the lights the guy told me that my high beams used reverse polarity and I was going to have trouble wiring it to them. Care to elaborate on the relay and which type of relay. I have little knowledge of wiring. Thanks

Any 4 prong relay will work. Hook pin 30 to a fused battery source. Hook pin 87 to the positive on the aux lights, hook pin 86 to the same wire as hooked to pin 30 and hook pin 85 to the ground off the high beams. When you hit the highs the relay will activate and turn the aux lamps on, taking for granted the aux lamps have already been properly grounded.
