Hey everyone. Just wanted to say hello.  I have been looking around the site for a while.  I am looking to get an 2003 Envoy SLT and was searching the net for any message boards like the one I belong to now for my BMW.  This is the closest thing I found.  Everyone seems pretty cool here based on the post I have been reading.

 

I was all set to trade my Bimmer in for the SUV but the dealers appraiser screwed me on the price, so I went to sell it privately.  As soon as I found a buyer I was told I am being laid off by month end.  Nothing seems to be going right this month.  So , things have been put on hold and if things get really bad I will have to wait until April when my lease is up.

 

Quick question though, anyone ever have experience with/use the GM Supplier discount???  My wife works for a company that has this discount.  Basically, u get the car for 4% over what they will sell it to the employees for which is obviously a discounted rate.  IS it still less than invoice?? Just wondering.

Welcome!  Sorry to hear things are not going as planned!

 

The GMS +4% should be very close to Invoice. It all depends on the final price of the vehicle (with options etc..)

 

As for finding a dealer who will give you the discount, might i suggest Ron Pauley our forum broker..

Thanks for the info. Once everythig gets straightened out fiancially I will look into contacting him.

 

The dealer I was working with was in NY.  HE was going to let me lease or/buy the truck at 2% over invoice.  Roughly around $34.4k for a car that sticker around $37.8k.  It was the SLT with running boards, heated seats (dont really want them), upgraded stereo(not bose, just tape,cd,radio), polished rims, etc.  Had the correct color and everything. Just wasnt meant to be.  

 

I was happy with the price but if i can do better I am all for it :thumb:   He was very flexible but if I run into a problem with him I will definately come back to enlist the help of Ron Pauley.
