Engine Power Is Reduced

Hi -

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with Duramax diesel engine. While towing our trailer this weekend, after about 100 miles, the check engine light came on and a "Engine Power is Reduced" warning came up. The engine power was reduced. I pulled off the road, waited about 10 minutes, and started back up. The check engine light remained on however I had full power. 2 days later on the trip home, the check engine light was off and the drive was normal until about 100 miles again when the same thing happened. I checked the temperature guage and it was normal. The transmission temperature was in the 118-124 degrees for the entire trip until the end when it spiked to around 130 degrees and the power was reduced.

I'm taking it in this week but just want to be prepared. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.
