1999-2000 Bravada AWD - How much power?

How much horsepower can a drivetrain on a older bodystyle Bravada AWD handle?  How about a LS6 crate motor or cadillac northstar V8 crate motor?  Would I be breaking driveshafts by the bucket load? What other drivetrain components would I have to worry about after upgrading the engine and transmission?  Just thinking of what vehicle I could buy to follow the Ford Lightning that I have now.  Need lots of power.

Oh wow, I would say that it would depend on what you plan on doing with it.  If you race it around, take it off road, or cause any strain on your driveline parts, the larger displacement, HO engine will probably wear out the CV joints, U joints on axle... etc.  Of course driving normally, probably should be okay... Wouldn't there be a lot of calibrating of the PCM/Speedo involved to do this? afterall, you are changing your whole transmission, so your final drive ratio will change, etc.
