Picked up the April issue of Hot Rod Magazine today. Had an article in there about doing a "cheap Chinese turbo build" on a high-mileage 5.3L GM used in a Rat Rod. Just a 76mm turbo, NO intercooler, LS6 valve springs and a cam later, and they're putting out 594 ponies!!!!!!! It's reallllllly got me thinking.....Hmmm. Mate that to the T56 swap I've been throwing around, and thats some serious usable power. Anyone else agree?

Haha I'd never do that. Just saying that the found one on Ebay for $450, but they wondered what kind of reliability issues it would have. Obviously I'd opt for the Borg Warner T72 they say is a direct competitor for the kit.
