It seems some of the reasons people won't purchase a High Quality HID headlight conversion, like the Philips 6000K conversion kit I bought from Xenondepot.com, is because 1) Not many people have had the opportunity to drive with HID's and see how great driving with them really is 2)The Price 3) They would rather spend the money on another feature first. So, at what price level would you be willing to purchase a kit? I ended up paying about $550 with the shipping.

Hey Mike,

Even thought you know I already did a conversion, I would probably pay $600 for a 6000K, and no more than $400 for a 4100k system. Anymore than that and I would have to go with the sylvania xenarcs.

The Xenarc's are great. But for those of us who drive GMC's, no help.

mcali17, have you driven a denali to see how they compare?  I'm guessing that the denali projectors fall somewhere between the HID's and standard Halogen but I was just curious.

I have driven the Denali, and actually my brother put a set of the Denali projection headlamps into his 2001 1500. While the projectors work ok they do not fall in between the standard headlights and my HID.

Lets say the standard headlights are a 1, the projectors are a 2 and my HID's are a 10.  My brother is thinking about putting some HID's, into his projection lenses.
