Trying to decide on what size tires to get for my 1500HD. A guy I work with had a 1500 and now he has a 2500HD and he's always had the Kumho Road Venture A/T and he said he likes them a lot. So I called around the other day and found some . The tire place has the 285/75/16 in stock for $780 mounted and balanced and total price. He would have to order the 265/75/16 and would have them next day and they were $700 total. I've got the stock size tires on my truck now 245/75/16. I'm getting about 12 MPG. I drive mostly city and right now a tank of gas will last two weeks. Not sure how the bigger tires will affect my MPG and speedometer. Which size would you get if you were buying these?

On a HD I would want nothing smaller than a 285. The 265 will not look much bigger than what you have now but it will look better. As far as mpg I don't think you will lose much considering the tires are very light weight and you have a 6.0 with either 3.73 or 4.10.

BTW the kumho normally have a very soft tread and wear out really quick. Also they are not that aggressive looking. Look at General, Cooper or Mastercraft for affordable aggressive looking a/t.
