Problems After Transfer Case Repair

I did some repairs to the transfer case on my 2005 chevy 2500 hd 4x4 on Saturday. The purpose was to repair a hole caused by pump rub. Since then I have had several other problems that started. I replaced the rear half of the case, main output bearing and seal, and put in a case saver. I also replaced the speed sensor. I replaced the speed sensor because the antilock brake light has been on. I took it to the dealer and they scanned it. They said the rear speed sensor and front left speed sensor were bad.

1. Transmission

This is the biggest concern. I haven't had any problems with the transmission, but since the repair the when it is cold transmission doesn't shift out of first until it is about 3500 rpm on a soft acceleration. After it shifts once it will continue to shift at normal rpm. Once it does shift, it is a very hard shift through all the gears every time. It doesn't seem to be slipping. I checked the fluid following the owners manual instructions, and it isn't low on fluid. It does need to be changed, along with the filter, but these problems started immediately after the transfer case repairs.

2. Speedometer

This is a little harder. The gauge cluster has been going bad for a month. It has been working 90% of the time, and when it didn't work it just sticked after an acceleration. Now I get 0 all the time. In addition the check engine light has come on (in addition to the brake lights that were already on). I scanned it and got a code saying low speed sensor voltage (p0502). I order 2 speed sensors, so I switched the new one with the other new one. No change.

3. Engine dies

The engine has died twice in low speed turns. It starts back fine.

I know that these are probably related, but have no idea how, or what to do. PLEASE HELP.

the only part was one i already had. Just switched it out. Still have the other one to put on front. I knew it was a stretch, but thought it was worth a shot.

Thank you for the response. It makes sense.
