Single Disc Vs. 6 Disc Differences?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be converting to a USB equipped OEM CD Player in my 07 NNBS Silverado. I've seen the same part number has been used for a single disc and 6-disc unit. Is there any way to tell by pictures to determine if the one I'm about to buy is single disc or 6-disc?

I've noticed a difference that some have "Load" under the "FAV" button and some have the clock. But I've seen both listed as single disc and 6-disc...

Any insight?

Thanks in advance!

The six disc has the load button. I just looked at my 2010 with a six disc and my 2011 with a single disc and thats the only visable difference.

Much appreciated!

This ebay listing was throwing me off. Guess it's just a lazy seller putting up stock photos.

It looks to be a single disc, but maybe a lazy seller. Did you see his rating.. 50 transactions and a 94.7% rating...not good at all. Have you looked in the For Sale forum here?

I definitely wasn't going to buy from him.... especially at that price. I was just doing research on cd players after seeing several people post on here about having same part numbers with different features.

I did look on the for sale forum, haven't seen a 6-disc with USB. Right now I can get a single disc with USB for $50... I'm just trying to decide how badly I want those 5 extra discs, haha. I've been using a multi-disc for the past 5 years in my last car, but I bet adding iPod connectivity in my recently purchased silvy will help ween me off pretty quickly.

I'll probably eventually go for the single disc USB.

I like the six disc in my '10 but I hate that the head unit doesn't show any cd info so I have to try and remember what disc is in what spot. My single disc nin my '11 does show what song is being played and band name. But both show title info from my Ipod.

For what it's worth, this is my second vehicle that could accomodate an iPod. My CD binder had been on a shelf ever since. I never even played a CD in my Subaru.
