INSTREMENT LIGHTS

HELP--my cluster and radio lights go out whenever headlights are on-just happened last nite--checked and double checked all 400--ha-ha fuses and none are bad--could headlight switch cause this?  also if it is hesdlight switch---will a 99-01 switch work???this is on a 00 gmc truck-----any help would greatly be appreciated-----thanks troyrobo

Rotate the dimmer switch.  Sometimes a dead spot develops and will cause the lights flicker or go out intermittently.
