2009 4.8 Trip Mileage

Well this is the first long trip I have put on my truck and I am not sure of the gas mileage. I will let you all know tomorrow. I figure on my first tank of gas I got ~17-17.5. I was also driving a lot of tough terrain. I have been driving from Frederick MD, to Harrisburg PA, to Clarion PA, to Pittsburg PA, to Swanton MD. These roads are all in the mountains and have made my truck work from time to time. I also have not been the best for fuel economy. I have been driving anywhere from 40-90. Plus the wind and rain. I will say that if I can average 17 with all this going against me, I will be one happy camper. Tomorrow I will fill up and get my total mpg for the whole trip. Overall I am happy with the way she has performed.

Well I traveled a total of 642.5 miles and put in 37.42 gallons. This averages to 17.17 MPG. I am very satisfied with that number. Just wanted to let everyone know about the 4.8 mileage.
