I have a white 2008 gmc sierra denali and live in upstate ny. I washed my truck again today and winter like conditions and have a couple of black drip streaks from the mirror. I have not been able to clay bar yet because of temps but wondering if anyone has had similiar black stains and how they got them out. Thanks in advance

SNOW.........................LOL.....My 07 has the SAME stains!

 

My bud the body man sez that it is rust and corrosion drippings

(but they look like white streaks on my black truck) from the

cheap NON galvanized bolts that are holding the mirrors

to the doors !!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

He sez a bit of rubbing compound on a rag will take it right

off !!! Darn NY weather and road salt....................

I live in syracuse as well.. Im a little scared about rubbing compound because Ive heard horror stories. Im putting on my 22s tom. and hate for my truck to have these on there. God damn ny winters.

Nah.................A bit of rubbing compund will take it right off

and won't hurt the paint or clearcoat.

Get the white Turtle wax brand compound in the little green

can at any big box auto parts store. The red can is the heavy

duty stuff !
