Night Time Hog Hunting Lights

Im a hunter in East Texas where the feral hog is overrunning us, like most of the south. So, I decided to try to hunt them at night when they are hitting my feeders. Im gonna try to make a feeder light out of some LED trailer tailights. Im just wondering what kind of 12v battery I can use. I have some of the small 12v batteries for my game cameras, but Im not sure if the taillights would work well with that small of a battery, or how mlong one of those would last running 2 or 2 LED taillights. I could use a car battery, I cant really keep that away from the hogs due to size and weight.

Any suggestions would be great. Pictures and personal experiences would be even better.

I'd go to walmart and pick up a portable car jump starter for around 30 bucks and use it. it'll run them lights a long time, then you can take it back to your house and charge it back up.

I was kinda thinking about something solar rechargable with a dusk/dawn switch on it. That way the lights would be on wether I was hunting or not. That way the hogs dont figure out when its dangerous to feed. Ive heard of guys that only use the lights when they hint, and the hogs learned that the lights mean death.

I do have a couple questions for th electritians out there. Im gonna be running two 12v LED trailer tail lights hooked to a battery and a solar charger. But, my feeder works off of a 6v battery and I would like to use 1 charger to recharge everything. Can I run the 12v lights off of a 6v springtop battery? Is there a safe way to wire two 6v batteries in series so that the 6v feeder and the 12v lights will work properly?

Also, whats the official name of a dusk/dawn switch, and where is a good place to get one?
