New Tires/wheels

Hi everyone,

I own a 2010 Silverado crew cab LS. I've been reading around the forums for the past few weeks and have tried to take in as much information as my little brain can handle.

I've decided to go with the 2" rc lvl kit and 1.25" rc bl kit.

I'm also planning on getting Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 285/70/17.

My only question is on the wheel size/offset. I would like for them to stick out past the wheel well a little a bit. I've found a Helo wheel I like that is 17x8 6x5.5 0mm. Or I also like an AEW that is 17x9 6x5.5 -11mm. Would either of these wheels help the tire stick out the side and cause no rubbing? I remember reading the farther negative, the more it sticks out, but I don't remember seeing anything about the wheel size affecting rub.

I know this is a dead horse topic, but I have not found a clear answer through the search option.

Thanks for all the help.

Found an old post saying 17x9 should be around +18mm. That's what I'll stick with and hope for no rubbing on 285/70.

You should be fine with this setup
