Temperature Actuator Or Control?

My 06 Sierra has the ole heat/cold issue. I have dual-climate control and the drivers side is acitng up.

I put it on cold, blows cold air, then suddenly it'll blow hot air. Have it on hot and then try to put it to cold, nothing but hot air. However, if I stop, turn off engine and re-start - it'll blow cold air again.

I've been searching the topics, and I'm finding a mix between the heat controller and the heat actuator for the drivers side. Question is, how do I determine which one? If it is the actuator, how do I replace it? I can't seem to find the write-up link to that site someone posted a while ago.

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 with the same problem with the air blend actuator except mine is reversed. All i get is hot air coming out of my passenger side vents. Its coming into summer and its not working so well anymore and I need to know how you get to the thing. I know its under the dashboard but thats it. Can someone out therre help me out and explain this one to me. It's getting to the point I cant keep cool and having a passenger is out of the question. Thanks guys!!

I'm having the same problem with a 2001 . No a/c just heat.

For awhile it would resolve itself by turning the truck off. Now

it only blows hot air. Where is the acuator located so I can check

the operation
