Looking For Something A Little More Aggressive Then Zeon

Been reading about my different options for tires and really like the Zeon LTZ 275/60/20 but I am looking for something a little more aggressive. I have the stock 20" clad rims and will have a 1.5" Leveling kit and 1.25" BL.

Just put a suspension lift on my buddys YJ and he got the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac and they are a really nice tire. Aggressive but not to loud. The shame is they dont sell a 275/60/20 but they do sell 275/65/20 which measures 34.1. How far off would they be? I have read posts from 2008 so I know the dont work it just sucks we cant fit that tire under our trucks without a suspension lift. No body is running a 275/65/20 and to be totally honest I am hating these rims but dont want to coin up and get new ones.

Does anybody have a suggestion on less aggressive mud terrain that will fit my set up... I have read about the 33x11x20 pro comp extreme MT and called pro comp, to find out there is no such thing?? i dont know

A 33x12.5x20 should fit my application with 1.5" leveling kit and 1.25"BL maybe some minor plastic trimming? Little help with that one..... Looks like all Mud terrains are 33x12.5x20.

I have not seen the LTZ in person yet but would like an aggressive looking tire and I am afraid they are not.

Thanks

Nad,

your truck looks really good, but I want the higher sidewall. I have considered selling my rims for 18" aftermarket. the 305 is a really wide tire would rather have the sidewall. I know you guys say the Zeon's look better in person but do you wish they were more aggressive?

My next option will be 33x12.5x20 if I dont go with the Zeon ltz. Any suggestions on a decent Mud terrain that is more like a hybird to the all terrain. Would you get the Zeons again?

Nad,

you might be right that size does look like a decent option. something to consider...

I love the zeons and so does everyone that runs them. I like them way more than the Nitto terra. The BFG and Duratrac do look more aggressive to me but I'm not willing to spend the money on them or add that much weight.

If your looking at mud tires then its hard to beat the Toyo M/t. Also look at the Nitto Trailgrappler. I would run 305 55 20 and do trimming if they rub. Some of the 33x12.5 run small and don't look as good.

Take a look at my garage for more pictures of my zeons.

If you like the Coopers take a look at their Discoverer A/T3s. I believe they sell a 275/60/20 and are a much mor aggrsive tire than the LTZ. I just put a set on my 08 1500 275/65/18 and love them so far. They are quite and have plenty of bite I was especially impressed with the traction in tall wet grass this past weekend  (pulling old iron out of the pasture).

Nad,

I have been in your garage more times then one without you knowing.LOL

Thanks Newtruck08 I will look at that new design. I thought they werent that aggressive you got any pics?

I can get the 275/60/20 Nitto terra grapplers for 1k mounted.

305/55/20 are 1100 mounted

I can get the Zeon ltz 275/60/R20 for $900 mounted

Think I gotta really go look at this stuff in person. pictures don do justice.

I would highly recommend Trail Grapplers (not to be confused with terra grappler). Look into a 295/55/20. A guy on here has them with a 2" RC level and 1.5" Zone body lift. I run a 285/65/18 on my truck and love them!

how loud are those tires around 65mph? I would consider them. Question: I am planning a 1.5" leveling kit and 1.25" BL. You think they would be good to go? I am not afraid to trim a little plastic. that tire ends up measuring 32.8x11.6 would they work on a stock rim?

Thanks for suggestions.

do the 295/55/20 or a 305/50/20 and you will be pleased.. That 275 size is way to skinny to look aggressive.

You got a choice on going a tad taller than stock or wider than stock and its a pretty common misconception that the taller tire will look better but in reality a 33 or 34" tire that is only 10" wide wont look as aggressive as a 32" tire that is 12"+ wide.

The tall skinny tire wont look any better and wont do as good in the mud it will only make ur speedo farther off from its calibration. 33x12.5x20 will "fit" but im certain it will rub even with plastic trimmed.

Do you guys think the stock rim and offset would fit those 295/55/R20 trail grapplers as well as his aftermarket rims? Just wondering.
